Originally ordered a B&M cooler for my 2012 Honda Odyssey, but when that arrived the build quality(made in Mexico) was terrible and it was returned. You can look up that review for more info. I ordered this Hayden and hoped for the best. It arrived today, and WOW!!! awesome quality. Made in Australia!!!! NOT Mexico, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, etc., etc.. Perfectly aligned fins, soldered / brazed perfectly straight, lays perfectly flat. Cooling fins between plated are micro-louvered and look to be the best in the industry for cooling airflow. If you are a gizmo nut like me, wait till you see them. They look amazing. Nothing like the poorly designed fins on the B&M. I trust this design 100% with no reservations at all. I will never use another brand of cooler. Also, The B&M came with 3/8 barb ends similar to this, but the B&M came with 3/8 hose. It was NOT a snug fit and appeared to be a source for future leaks, even with clamps. This Hayden comes with 11/32 Gates hose. Not only a top quality hose mfg, but it fits very snugly over the 3/8 fittings. Perfect! Not to mention, my Odyssey requires 11/32 hose, not 3/8.I am a VERY happy customer.

Installed like a charm, no issues after towing a 5×8 U-Haul across the SW desert in summer.I installed this on a 2nd gen 4 cyl Toyota Tacoma. I was only towing about 1,800 lbs (half the max T2R-FE 4 cyl towing capacity) and most told me it probably wasn’t absolutely necessary, but I didn’t want to take any chances with my valuables going through the desert in a high-mileage truck.I just used the foam pads and zip ties provided to install, as I had neither the time nor machining tools handy to do custom mounting brackets. I did an auxiliary (not bypass) install and the provided hose was *just* long enough to do the job without the hoses being kinked or stressed. If you don’t measure very carefully and aren’t smart about it, it will be easy to cut the hose such that the other length is unusable, forcing you to shell out another $10+ for a length of ATF hose. I let a little fluid drain out of the radiator, then played with the level some and determined between the little bit of ATF that came out of the radiator plus the capacity needed for the cooler, I needed to add about 400-500mL of ATF for a proper fluid level.

OK, so I have a 99 Jeep XJ. I dont trust the zips thru the condenser and radiator. I read too many posts on forums saying they ended up with radiator leaks down the road. and some with no more AC. I bought the Hayden bracket kit. I ended up mounting it on the driver side. flipped around so the brackets are closer to the bumper. There are 2 holes that are just behind the bumper than work for mounting, they’re a bit tricky but some stuby wrenches and small socket got it done. I stuck 2 of those foam pads to the cooler to pad between the cooler and condenser. And then used 2 of those zips to go above the radiator to keep tension on, I keep the other 2 extra zips in the glove compartment. It took me forever to find a way to mount this thing without pulling the bumper or header panel. I read some people put it in front of the mechanical fan, but my Jeep has 125k and in the morning or when the engine is cold, the tranny doesnt like shifting until its has warmed up. So I figured in front of the electric fan is good compromise. After I mounted it, the rest of the install took literally less than 10 minutes. Its not the prettiest job, but not having to risk my radiator or remove bumper/header panel, makes it worth it to me. Also, if you want consider painting the bracket and nut and bolt before install. Also, the kit came with 11/32″ tubing instead of 3/8th. Maybe that is fine, but I ended up ordering Deraile 3/8″ transmission hose from Amazon. As my Jeep uses 3/8, so I see no reason to change it. It was fine and works. You also need 3/8″ barb connectors and 6 hose clamps total. also doesnt hurt to have a zip tie to tie the hose along the body where you can. I bought mine from Home Depot, but Amazon and Autozone both have it.

Just what I needed while replacing the transmission in my girlfriends 06′ Honda Odyssey, those things run so hot, so I figured I would take preventative measures with the new Transmission. Came well packaged, I expected “brand x” hose to come with it but much to my surprise they come with Gates brand hoses. I did not try or trust the plastic zip tieish mounts it came with, so I fabricated some brackets to mount it.

I bought this new from seller PRIME REGISTERED. Item arrived quickly, but the item was obviously USED. Trans fluid in the box, trans fluid in the cooler and supplied lines. The hose included was only about 1.5 ft long, and had been cut, not to mention there was a slit down the side as if someone tried to push it onto a fitting that was too big.I first flushed out the radiator with solvent and compressed air, and threw out the lines that came with it. I went and bought my own. Since I needed it for a long distance trip towing a trailer, I installed anyway. There were no leaks, and after the successful trip, still no leaks and it appears to have functioned well. Every stop I made I touched the cooler; it was warm/hot, but not too hot to touch, so I guess that was a good sign.

With worked perfectly for my application… ’99 Jeep Cherokee XJ, 5.5″ lifted & locked, etc.I was tired of the trans and engine heating each other up due to the trans fluid passing first through the radiator tank then through the cooler ahead of the AC condenser. So I installed this cooler so the fluid would bypass the radiator then continue on to the front cooler.
